A customer informed us she was drinking in the parking lot and throwing her cans about randomly. I haven't seen her for a while and I hope she is somewhere receiving help.

I have another customer who comes in with her autistic son. She always picks my line when I am working. When other workers may ignore the boy who mumbles and shouts occasionally while grabbing the bags, I engage him in conversation, hand him the change and the receipt, and thank him for helping his mother with the groceries. I hope your daughter finds joy in her shopping trips.I am the working poor.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12459981991615916464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1111350698240105498.post-11816405892217505362010-09-22T21:55:02.227-04:002010-09-22T21:55:02.227-04:00The woman in the cowboy hat and garden gloves--won...The woman in the cowboy hat and garden gloves--wonder if she might be mentally ill, and not drunk? Like maybe schizophrenia. My DD is developmentally disabled and I really appreciate the clerks and customer service people who are nice to her and treat her with respect.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04267715180750506864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1111350698240105498.post-55662433652143625832010-09-16T12:08:25.953-04:002010-09-16T12:08:25.953-04:00Ashok, you are so right. One thing I must say people who work in customer service they pledge whenever they call any customer service department of any product or service would never curse or abuse. In a way you learn to become a nicer person even though your experience is darkAshokhttp://forexstrategiesnew.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1111350698240105498.post-79683147332311109062010-09-10T13:20:12.900-04:002010-09-10T13:20:12.900-04:00Connie,

Many of us in retail are polite and DO show them kindness. So that's why they show up so often on my shifts.
